Four NSC teams competed at the Kent Cornucopia Cup 2012 tournament, and all four made it out of group play.

The BU11 NSC Vortex B01 and GU11 NSC Velocity G01 made it to the semi-finals.

The NSC Spectre G99 team was fired up & ready to take on the Puget Sound Slammers in the Championship game. The girls started fast & furious scoring in the first minute of the game. The Puget Sound Slammers didn’t back down and they were able to sneak past the defense for a goal of their own. The girls never backed down but just couldn’t find a way to get another one in the back of the net before regulation time ended. They took to the field for the overtime periods and battled hard but just came up short in the two 10 minute overtimes. It was a fantastic tournament and Championship game for the girls, Congratulations Spectre!

The NSC Celtic B97 came out ready to fight to take home the championship at the Kent Cornucopia Cup. The Championship game was a hard fought battle as the boys took on the defending champion Kent United Green. While the game went into the half tied 0-0 the boys were very confident in themselves and believed that they would take the game in the second half. A hard shot from about the 25 yard mark found the back of the net and the boys held on for the victory before the final whistle. A great tournament for the Celtic, Congratulations Boys!
