FAQ specific to the 2020 (COVID-19) May Tryouts & Player Registration

Registration Questions:

Q: What is the NYSA Refund Policy on Registration Fees for NSC Players?

  • As per NYSA, for NSC, if there is no season then there will be a full refund minus CC fees.
  • The registration is setup for quarterly installment payments, so that families need not pay the full amount up front.
  • If there is a partial season, then fees will be prorated for refunds.
  • If the season gets canceled before the scheduled payments occur, then those scheduled payments will be cancelled.

Q: Is the one-time credit card fee refundable?

  • No.

Q:  Is there a way to pay via paper check(s)?

  • Yes, When the family gets to the shopping cart, they have a dropdown to choose to pay online, which tacks on the convenience fee, or they can 'Pay Offline', which won't add the fee, and then they can mail quarterly checks to the NYSA office or drop them off.
  • The website may ask you to write the check for the full amount, we are recommending that you only write the check for the first quarterly installment of $173.75.

Q:  Is there a way to pay via (ACH) bank account debit?

  • Yes - in that same checkout process there's an option to do ACH/Bank Payment if they choose to pay online.  The same convenience fee applies.

Q:  What should we do for returning NSC families that would normally not be on scholarship but who cannot afford to pay the registration fees because of COVID19?

Q: Help I need a refund because I registered for Recreational Soccer by mistake?
